With the season winding down, the past two weekends I raced the last rounds of local motocross in Mildura and Robinvale. A massive thanks to Quick-Fix Motorcycles for supplying me with a CRF450 to race in these two events.The bike made my job easy and I was able to win every 450 race for both meetings. The bike is stock standard and rockets out of the start gates and is a bunch of fun to ride; its got to be the easiest 450 to ride on the market. 

North West Victorian Motorcycle Club held the last mx round for their club series but not for the year. The GBM Cup motocross will be a two-day event in late October and will finish off NWVMCC motocross for season 2009. The event will host riders from across Victoria and South Australia with prize money up for grabs in the senior classes. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the club and all the volunteers for the efforts in making motocross happen in Mildura; it is us riders who benefit. Thanks to my reliable Honda CRF's I won every race for the weekend except one which I crashed out of. When you push the limit sometimes you go too far, and thats part of learning and part of motocross!

Robinvale Motorcycle Club kicked off their last mx for the year and after a couple of very windy days the track was still prept and ready for action. The club has done an amazing job again this year and I am sure that anybody contemplating riding at Robinvale won't be let down and will want to race there every chance they get from then on! Winning every 250 and 450 race for the meeting, the highlight came in the final allpowers race where I stalled the bike on lap 3. Once I got going again I was half of a lap behind the leader and in about 6th position. This excited me to push as hard as I could and in only an 8 lap race my time to get to the front was limited. I managed to work my way upto 2nd and by the finish-line jump I was around 5 bike lengths off the win. That race was great fun and all the people watching enjoyed it too. My allpowers results were still enough to get me the overall win for the day. The past two weekends were a bunch of fun and anyone wanting to have some fun out on a mx track, I recommend giving either of these clubs a go!
