Hey everyone its Tahnee! Ryan has been flat out preparing for the last two rounds of the MX Nationals so he hasn’t had time to let you all know what’s been happening!

For the last few weeks Ryan has been testing different parts of his bike to ensure it is the best it can be for the final rounds as he is pumped to get great results at each. The last week has been a busy one for him as he has been out in the shed until almost midnight each night working on his bike. I even spent a day oiling air filters and scrubbing his boots and gear to help him get ready!!

This morning Ryan and good mate Jason Wood headed off on their 12 hour drive to Lakes, NSW to compete in round 7 of the MX Nationals this Sunday. Ryan said he was feeling comfortable on the bike during training and is focused on getting good results. The schedule for the day includes a 40 minute practice/qualifying, then 2x30 minute moto’s.

After competing in Lakes Ryan and Woody will then keep driving up to Coolum, Qld during the week to race in the final round of the 2009 MX Nationals next weekend (1/08/09). The schedule for this weekend is different as it consists of a 20 minute practice and then a 20 minute qualifying on the Saturday (usually this is all done on the Sunday). Then on the Sunday he has 15minutes of warm up, and 3x15 minute moto’s. I will be flying up to the Sunshine Coast next Friday to watch and of course go to the after party!!

Ryan would like to say a big thanks to Quick-Fix Motorcycles Mildura, especially Gav Walker for lending his van to the boys for the two weeks, it’s a huge help. This allows them to sleep in the van with the bikes as they drive to Queensland which helps save money on accommodation. Thanks also to Dave for helping Ryan out at Quick-Fix. Another big thanks to the Munro brothers for helping out with the travel expenses for the two weeks, it’s much appreciated. Without their help, it would make racing a whole lot more difficult for Ryan to compete in each round at such a high level of racing.
